My goal is to make the Spanning The Years project self supporting. To help I’m branching out into freelance work. Here are some of the services I can offer:
As an educator I have nearly 40 years experience of teaching children and training adults. I’m a training design specialist and have managed this function for several organisations. I have expertise in:
- training needs analysis
- course development
- open learning authoring
- designing assessments
I am a qualified, teacher, trainer and NVQ Assessor and can offer a professional and high quality service in any of these areas.
As a writer. I have experience of writing, proof reading and editing in a variety of contexts. This includes writing and editing occupational guidance, short story writing, academic papers and creative non-fiction. I have a Bachelor’s degree in history, a Masters in English literature, and a Diploma in creative writing. I am interested in freelance work in any of these areas:
- guidance design
- copy editing
- proof reading
- guest blog posts on any subjects relating to Spanning The Years
- longer form non-fiction features on local and family history and english literature
- book reviews.
As a photographer. My main interest is documentary photography, rather than formal event photography or portraiture. I tend to use photography to illustrate my written work, and I’m interested in commissions for photographic essays on historical or contemporary topics.
