January is probably most people’s least favourite month. But this year it’s been quite pleasant. I like clear blue skies and frosty mornings, even when I do manage to slip and fall on the ice like I did last week.
There was nothing hurt apart from my pride.
Kirkham Priory and the River Derwent in it’s winter pride. Bruce indulging in a bit of sun bathing. He loves to lie in the window bottom soaking up the afternoon sun. Unfortunately at this time of year, the only patch of sunlight is behind this table. It doesn’t stop Bruce from trying though. The view towards Howsham on one of our winter walks. It doesn’t get much better than that in January.
