Snow surprise

Following yesterday’s good news about the end of winter, the Fernley garden in North Yorkshire has been hit by surprise spring snow showers. Snow has been falling all morning, and in places has accumulated to a depth of over one inch!

David Fernley is reported to be stunned by the severity of the weather.

It’s amazing. I’ve not seen anything like this since… well, last year. I was going to mow the lawns this afternoon, but I’ve been forced to change my plans. I blame the Met Office, they should have seen this coming.

When contacted about the situation, the Met Office refused to comment. But an unofficial spokesperson said that there’d been a lot of similar complaints this year. Must be something to do with the lockdown.
