Picture of the week: Hayes’ Studio

This week’s picture is from the Ryedale Folk Museum in the lovely village of Hutton-le-Hole in North Yorkshire. This daylight photographic studio, believed to be the oldest existing one in England, belonged to local photographer William Hayes. The studio was in the garden of his home in Hutton-le-Hole, until his son donated it to the museum.
