In training: Whitby Abbey

A new adventure in some interesting places.

I’ve always fancied living in a castle, and now I’ve found the next best thing. Looking for something a little different to do, I’ve landed myself a part-time job with English Heritage at Pickering Castle.

A couple of weeks ago I published a post about our visit there. You can find the article here. Our visit was so I could do a bit of interview preparation: work combined with pleasure.

Although I’ll be working at the Castle, I’m doing my induction training at Whitby Abbey, another of my favourite places. I’m at Whitby for three days, and really enjoying finding out about my new job.
