Picture of the Week 14/07/18: Sunset in Howsham Woods
I’m not sure whether this is an official record, but it feels like the hottest summer we’ve had since 1976. I’d just finished my A levels and I was working to save up for a holiday in Yugoslavia with friends. It was just my luck that I had a job working in a factory making insulation foam! Imagine the fun I had spending my days lugging great slabs of sun-heated foam around. At least I’ve not been doing that this year, although the heat has forced me to walk the dog in the evenings when it’s cooler. One of the upsides of this is that I’ve witnessed some wonderful sunsets. This week’s photograph was taken in Howsham woods, which is about four miles from where we live. I was so taken by the sun shining through the trees that I spent about half an hour photographing them.
Loved this one the colours are magical.
Thanks Jane
Lovely colours. 7200 or I-phone?
7200, with a bit of touching up in Lightroom.
