Small Things: Primroses
With another three weeks of lockdown just announced, I’m still trying to make the most of the good weather and limited time out of the house to enjoy the small things.
One small personal glimmer of hope is that I’ve had the plaster removed from my broken hand. Although the hand’s still quite stiff, I’ve had a tentative stab at using a camera.
I snapped these primroses while out on my walk with Bruce yesterday. We’ve passed them every day for a couple of weeks now, but it’s been the first time I’ve been able to photograph them.
They always look so cheerful in the bright sunlight, they’ve become one of the highlights of the walk. That’s one of the unforeseen advantages of walking the same route everyday: you notice the tiny details along the way, and get to notice the subtle changes taking place.
Which is a good thing, because I suspect we’ll be sticking close to home for a good while yet.
